Frédéric is a mechanic2al engineer who graduated from University of Sherbrooke in 1995. He also holds a M. Eng from the same university in Engineering Management. He carries almost 15 years of experience of project management mainly in product development in the recreational and motor vehicle sectors. At FPInnovations, he works primarily on weight reduction projects by promoting the use of unconventional designs and materials

Brian Bulley

Brian graduated from Lakehead University in 1994 with an HBSc in Forestry degree and received his Professional Logistician designation from the Canadian Professional Logistics Institute in 2005. Brian joined FPInnovations in 1996 and transferred to the Transport Group in 2000. His current work deals with transport system efficiencies, energy efficiency, and operations logistics.

Pierre joined the PIT family in 2010 as a legal officer. He brings with him an extensive knowledge of financial and commercial real-estate law. He has developed an extensive expertise in GHG management and has sat on various committees including; the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), the Urban Development Institute of Quebec (UDIQ), the Association des professionnels en développement durable (APPROD) and the Movalia Consortium in Sustainable Development. Pierre is currently involved with the development of PIT-Municipality as well as an environmental certification program.

Frédéric Faulconnier

Frédéric obtained his Master’s Degree from the École Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et des Constructions Automobiles in 2003 and has international experience in the automobile industry. He has worked with car manufacturers such as GM, Ford, PSA, Renault and Tata, in terms of designing suspension, transmission and engine control systems. Frédéric’s technical knowledge and background make him an essential member of the PIT family.

Jean has a MSc in Economics and a BSc in forest engineering and has been using his expertise in Economic analysis and development of software, to aid companies with routing solutions via software development. He also has many years of experience in logistics in transportation and off road vehicles.

Andrew Hickman

Andrew has worked as a technician for the transport department for 11 years. His previous experience as a long haul truck driver enables him to use his unique knowledge of the industry to specialize in tech transfer and public relations. He is currently developing energy efficient driving technique programs and has recently completed a smart driver fuel efficiency training module for Hydro Fleets.

Rob graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Technology program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 1988.  He has worked with the Transportation and Maintenance group since 1990. Rob’s areas of specialization are: trucking systems analysis and optimization, strategies for reducing fuel consumption, and electronic data collection.

Bernard has over 25 years experience in the transport industry. As a former co-owner and director of operations of a transport company, he has extensive knowledge in all aspects of company operations including maintenance, vehicle purchasing, rate negotiations and was a specialist in logistics.

Seamus has a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from UBC and has over 15 years of experience in heavy vehicle analysis and testing. Much of this work has focused on improving vehicle configuration productivity and safety performance. He has developed expertise with simulation software and computer modeling, in addition to vehicle instrumentation and testing.

Anthony is a Mechanical Engineer who graduated from the University of Paris in 1998. Anthony used to work for the PEUGEOT-CITROEN R&D Department in engine design. He has also worked as a technical manager for an engineering/maintenance company for the oil industry. With FPInnovations PIT, he is currently working on Hybrid technologies and other fuel reduction technologies.

Cameron graduated from UBC in 1994 with a Bsc in forestry. Today Cameron’s role as a fuel consumption specialist sees him heavily involved in Bio-diesel research, including manufacture and implementation measures to aid industry’s transition to govt. mandated renewable fuel content.

Mithun has experience in computer modeling and simulation. He has a MASc from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelors degree in Automobile Engineering from the University of Mumbai, India. His current research deals with fuel consumption, vehicle safety and efficient transportation and is currently involved in developing tools for helping PIT members with their decision–making processes.

Michel Schinck joined PIT as an electronics technician in 2009. He obtained his DEC, in Electronics Technology in 1985 at the Collège Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. He is responsible for managing various databases used for road transport studies and TransITS Intelligent Transport Systems. He assists researchers and engineers in various studies and trials conducted by the Energy - Emission and Transport group.

James has been a researcher in the Transportation group since 2005. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for a number of years as the Senior Design Engineer for a Canadian trailer manufacturer. His current work deals with vehicle design and dynamics.

Marius brings 22 years of automotive and transport related vehicle testing and design experience to the PIT family. He possesses a BSc and a MAsc in mechanical engineering and was a member of The United Nations Group of Experts in Vehicle Safety. He is heavily involved in testing fuel consumption reduction, and emission reduction technologies.

Benoit Vincent obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1991 at the École Polytechnique de Montréal. He brings almost 20 years of experience in vehicle specification, energy efficiency and implementation of onboard technologies. Benoit is heavily involved in EOBR testing for driver logs as well as deployment and use of onboard technologies for fleets (lightweight vehicles and trucks).
